Pinnacle Field Hockey is thrilled to announce the addition of Pinnacle West, centered in Grand Rapids, to our field hockey family. Under the guidance and leadership of Kelsey (Thompson) Chun we look forward to collaboratively growing the game of field hockey in western Michigan. Kelsey has proven herself to be an integral contributor at each level in which she has competed, assisting her interscholastic as well as intercollegiate programs in winning championships. For an extensive view of Kelsey’s field hockey background and accomplishments, read about her on our Staff Page.
Training sessions hosted at Pinnacle West can be found in the drop down tag titled Pinnacle West. (Look for upcoming programming there when Michigan’s state-wide “stay home stay safe” mandates lift and public gatherings are allowed again.)
Welcome to the Pinnacle Family!
A message from Coach Kelsey:
“I am incredibly excited and honored to be at the helm of Pinnacle's expansion to West Michigan. I am certain that partnering with Pinnacle will offer western Michigan athletes an unparalleled opportunity by being part of the nationally-recognized club that coaching legend Nancy Cox has built.”
Excited energy on the field hockey field helped carried Pinnacle to a 10-0 record at the NFHCA's 2021 Winter Escape Showcase. 10 new players traveled the first time with Pinnacle and impacted play immediately. Congratulations to all Pinnacle Peeps at WES2021. We look forward to the next event!
2020 has been an unusual year and while we have been away from competitive club hockey we have been excited for our athletes that have continued the recruiting process and have committed to play field hockey at the collegiate level. Congratulations to all athletes committing thus far in the 2020 calendar year!

The Pinnacle Mission
Since our launch, in 2009, Pinnacle has subscribed to our initial mission statement:
grow the game,
enable athletes to grow through a sport called field hockey as teammates and citizens, and
empower athletes to realize their goals for field hockey – interscholastic and/or intercollegiate
At Pinnacle we endeavor to have each participant, grow in a fun and developmentally appropriate environ across all age groups ages 8 – 18.
Within our training culture we strive to grow each athlete's speed of thought, foot, skill and tactical awareness while growing their strength in the 3 Cs:
At Pinnacle it is our privilege to grow athletes through a game called field hockey to enable them to become courageous, confident and contributing members within the classroom, on the field, and in the community; therein lies our mission.
