FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can beginners register for your programs?

Yes!  Beginner athletes are welcome at all local programs.  These programs can be found in the Ann Arbor Area and Grand Rapids.

Yes, all of our participants are required to have a membership with USFHA.  This is required per our insurance.

USFHA memberships can be purchased online at https://www.usafieldhockey.com/types-of-membership

We follow USAFH’s guidelines for club event age groups.  The age groups are Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 19.  An athlete’s age group is determined by their age on August 1st of any given year.  For example, Susie is 11 on August 1, 2025 but will turn 12 later in August.  Susie would be an Under 12 athlete for the entirety of the upcoming travel year (2025-26).

We will not cancel our outdoor sessions because of rain.  However, our athletes’ safety and well being is always our priority.  We will cancel for severe weather (lightning, thunder, etc.).

Participants will be notified via email of any cancellations. Cancellations will also be posted on the homepage of our website.

We will always try our best to schedule a make-up for a canceled session/practice but it is not guaranteed.

If you need to withdraw prior to the start of a program, we will issue a credit minus a 10% administration fee.  Once a program begins we will issue a prorated credit minus a 20% administration fee.  All credits can be used towards future Pinnacle Programs.

We do not prorate our programs.  When possible we will allow athletes to make up an absence by participating in another age group’s session.

Our Travel season runs from September – July.  Try-outs are held in late July/early August to determine the next season’s teams.  Look on our ‘Travel with Pinnacle’ page for more details.  If you have missed the tryout for the current season, please contact Keely at pinnacleplayfh@gmail.com to see what options may be available to you.
